CASA of Adams & Broomfield Counties is looking for a visionary, mission-driven leader to serve as our next Chief Executive Officer. The CEO will lead a passionate, high-performing team and more than 300 dedicated CASA Volunteers advocating for abused and neglected children in our community.

a) Ensures that CASA has long-range strategies that achieve its mission, and toward which it makes consistent and timely progress. |
b) Provides leadership in developing programs and organizational plans with the Board of Directors and staff. |
c) Evaluates how well goals regarding volunteer recruitment, training, and retention, and children served have been met and makes appropriate recommendations. |
d) Keeps informed of developments in human services, not-for-profit management and governance, philanthropy, and fund development. e) Shapes and drive a strategic vision focused on improving outcomes for children and families, aligning mission-driven goals with evolving community needs, funding priorities, and stakeholder partnerships. f) Drives a strategic vision that improves outcomes for children and families. |

a) Provides general oversight of all CASA activities, manages the day-to-day operations, and assures a smoothly functioning, efficient organization. b) Leads the development and execution of the organization’s strategic plan, ensuring its close integration with annual and multi-year planning, goal setting, and budgeting, and ensuring activities reflect CASA priorities and organizational sustainability, striving to improve efficiency and evolve as necessary to enhance CASA’s impact. |
c) Assure program quality and organizational stability through development and implementation of standards and controls, systems and procedures, and regular evaluation. |
d) Creates an organizational culture that is effective in carrying out the CASA mission, strategic direction, and organizational goals; willing to listen to diverse views. e) Leads the organization through change management and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the organization. f) Fosters an organizational culture aligned with CASA’s mission and goals, welcoming diverse perspectives. |
g) Recruits and retain qualified, committed, effective and diverse staff members.
b) Collaborate with the board to ensure executive succession plans are in place for both planned and emergency transitions. c) Identifies and mentor internal leadership talent to build a pipeline for key roles. d) Promotes a culture of professional development and cross-training among staff. e) Communicates succession plans clearly to staff to foster transparency and stability during transitions. |
b) Works with Board Chair to enable the Board to fulfill its governance functions and facilitate the optimum performance by the Board, its committees and individual Board members. c) Sees that the Board is adequately advised on the condition of the organization and important factors influencing it. d) Successfully implements all policies adopted by the Board. e) Provides the Board of Directors with Board education opportunities on an ongoing basis. f) Research and recommend qualified individuals as prospective Board members and potential community members to Board committees including the Finance Committee, Board Development & Nominating Committee, Program Advisory Committee, Development & Recruitment Committee, Events Committee, and DEI Committee.
b) Directs the fiscal activities of the organization including budgeting, reporting, and audit. Ensures adequate funds are available to permit the organization to carry out its work. c) Works with the staff, Finance Committee, and the Board in preparing a budget; sees that the organization operates within budget guidelines. d) Leads efforts to embed sustainability into financial planning, ensuring funding supports both current operations and future growth. e) Ensures transparency and accountability in financial reporting to build trust and attract sustained support. f) Leads the implementation of best practices to support efficient and financially responsible operations, and accurate, timely, and fully compliant accounting, financial reporting, audits, and internal controls. g) Is a prudent steward of physical and financial resources in month-to-month operations.
b) Ensures an effective fund development plan by procuring new and ongoing funding sources through grant writing, fundraising events, and outreach to individual or corporate donors. c) Successfully procures new and ongoing funding sources for the organization. d) Effectively secures and increases major donor commitments on an annual basis.

a) Serves as a passionate and effective spokesperson for CASA; represents the programs and point of view of the organization to other agencies, organizations, and to the general public. b) Establishes and maintains positive relations with government entities and personnel, foundation and corporate funders, and individual donors. |
c) Establishes sound working relationships and cooperative arrangements with community groups, organizations, and appropriate “players” (i.e.: judges, magistrates, attorneys, guardians ad litem, social services administrators, etc.). |
d) Effectively communicates orally with individuals and groups, including public presentations; presents ideas in an organized, clear and concise manner; employs tact and discretion; listens well; offers appropriate feedback. |
e) Prepares organized, clear, concise, accurate and informative letters, memos, reports, and other documents which effectively fulfill content and timeliness requirements. |
f) Works well with others at various levels; keeps information flowing to the appropriate parties; facilitates communication and problem solving among parties when necessary. |
