Join Tim Gaudette from the Small Business Majority for a presentation on what's next with health care. After the failure of the American Health Care Act, the Republican plan to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act (also known as the ACA or “Obamacare”), many small business owners are wondering about the future of their healthcare options. Now that the ACA will continue to be the law of the land, Tim will explain what this means for small businesses. Tim will also provide an overview of the ACA’s federal and state provisions to help local small business owners understand how the healthcare law affects them.
Specific topics include:
· Overview of the healthcare law
· What’s next for healthcare reform
· Small business tax credits (available to businesses and tax-exempt non-profits)— who’s eligible for them and how to claim them
· Cost containment and other consumer protections
· Tools and resources available for small businesses interested in learning more about the law
Small Business Majority fosters a network of Colorado small business owners who work together to educate their peers and convey their perspectives to lawmakers and the media, ensuring small business voices continue to be heard. SBM also partners with other business groups, organizations and experts to conduct listening tours and webinars on how small businesses are impacted by healthcare reform, clean energy, access to credit and other key issues.
Breakfast is included in the registration cost.
